I just wanted to give you the totals from Operation Food Lift, which was held on Sept. 26 with Skywings Aviation and the Red Deer Food Bank.
We received $2,600 in cash and $1,005 in food donations for the flights over Red Deer.
The garage sale brought in $2155.95 and the barbecue and pancake breakfast raised $476.50.
We want to say a huge thank you to Skywings Aviation for the 14 years they and their staff have been donating their time and equipment, and for allowing us to use their hanger for our garage sale.
We had a wonderful day and look forward to doing this again next year.
Without Skywings Aviation’s commitment and dedication to our cause, many moms and dads and lots of children in Red Deer and area would go without.
Thanks to all the volunteers and staff who took time to come out and help at this event.
