Generosity appreciated

As the owner of a downtown business, La Petite Jaune Fleur, I led a campaign to provide Mother’s Day Gift Baskets to mothers housed at the Central Alberta Emergency Women’s Shelter. We collected product and gift certificates and prepared gift baskets for the mothers in need.

The mothers at the shelter were extremely surprised and thankful to the downtown businesses. A total of 17 baskets as well as flowers and gifts from our shop were delivered for Mothers’ Day.

The campaign was a great success. This was the first year and, although there was not much time to put it together, the companies and individuals who contributed came through with flying colours!

The following businesses contributed: Health Effects, Senor Taco, Hempire, Marvel College and Spa, Bareskin Wellness, Mystic Boutique Psychic Readings, Café Pichilingue, housewarmings, Thai Gardens Restaurant, John Hull Architect, Grandview Consulting/Lorne Daniel, La Mane Place, Nancy Vruwink, Larsen Family Chiropractic, City Roast Coffee, Venture Tax & Accounting, Canadian Western Bank, Body Treats Medical Aesthetics, Red Deer Lodge and D. Cadrin Enterprises.

The gifts were varied and very generous and I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart. Downtown businesses are full of caring and generous people.
