Government is running scared

I like to refer to this letter as: Running Scared.

I like to refer to this letter as: Running Scared.

Never before in the history of Alberta politics has a majority government, far too long in power, ever invoked the time allocation measure, forcing the vote to end the discussion on three very important pieces of legislation (Alberta Health Act, Carbon Capture and Storage Statutes Amendment Act and Electoral Divisions Act) in one day, just so the Tory party could save further embarrassment in the matters concerned.

This successfully allowed the call for the vote to remove not one but all three resolutions. What is even more strange to me is that the Conservatives themselves set the closing date for the fall session to be Dec. 9, so why then did they decide to force closure eight days earlier?

It is odd that since the fall session has been adjourned, the government has found virtually hundreds of millions of dollars to sprinkle around in health care.
