Ice fishing ‘shack’ is above and beyond

would like to put in a few comments on Mr. Bush’s loss out of his ice fishing “shack.”First who would need a fridge in an ice shack when you are sitting on a frozen lake?

I would like to put in a few comments on Mr. Bush’s loss out of his ice fishing “shack.”

First who would need a fridge in an ice shack when you are sitting on a frozen lake?

Second anyone who keeps anything of value in an ice shack and thinks a padlock will stop theft is pretty naive.

Thirdly and lastly, who needs an $8,000 ice shack, when I and some friends fished Sylvan Lake in the 1970s and ’80s, we pooled our money and built a six-foot-by-eight-foot shack out of any scrap plywood that we could find or afford, and half the fun was building it ourselves.

Oh! and we left it open all season for anyone to use when we were not.
