I would like to thank the media for helping us out so much by promoting our programs and our need for financial assistance during these summer months as we move towards sustainable funding.
In particular, thank you for promoting the Justin Bieber ticket auction that started on July 14. We hope that with enough media attention that the winning auction bid will sustain us for another pay period. As well, the winning bidder receives a charitable tax receipt for the diference between their winning bid and fair market value of the package (3 Justin Bieber tickets, plus accommodation and breakfast at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Centre in Edmonton)
Currently LD Red Deer has 15 students ages seven to nine and 10-12 enrolled for our summer Kinship Camps (to learn social skills) and 15 students for summer tutoring in all subject areas. These are developed specifically for those with a learning disability.
We wouldn’t have been able to serve these 30 families this summer without your continued support. So may I also extend appreciation from these families to you. One mother commented that it was nice that someone actually cared! Thank you.
