Matchbox fired up to present a new season

On behalf of Ignition Theatre, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who went into making our 2008-09 season an overwhelming success.

On behalf of Ignition Theatre, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who went into making our 2008-09 season an overwhelming success.

Our second season in the Matchbox proved to be our most exciting to date.

Deathtrap proved that audiences can still be scared out of their wits; My Name is Rachel Corrie showcased one of the most incredible performances in our history; Edges provided an infusion of new and exciting musical theatre; and Bohemian Rhapsody, our multidisciplinary arts festival, brought to Red Deer some of the most exciting emerging work from across the province in three different mediums (theatre, film and visual art).

Ignition Theatre will be celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2009-10, a significant milestone in the professional theatre community.

It would not have been possible without the tremendous support of our patrons who continue to encourage us to produce exciting, thought-provoking and ultimately rewarding live theatre.

Please feel free to explore our website at www.ignitiontheatre.ca where our new season has been announced and where you can find out how you too can experience what Ignition Theatre has to offer.
