Call me a grouch or resistant to change but I for one, am not a fan of the new early morning delivery.
I have been a subscriber to the Advocate for 25 years but am about to cancel my subscription.
When you changed over to the new morning paper, our deliveries didn’t happen until about 8 a.m., which was great, but for the past two nights we obviously have a new delivery person with the paper arriving at 3:30 a.m.
My dog goes ballistic; not her fault, she’s doing her job protecting her property.
I phoned the paper this morning and was told that we could expect delivery anytime between 1:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.
I am sleeping during that time period and don’t want to be awakened every day by my dog telling me that someone is on the property.
I will resort to picking up the paper at the corner store and paying a lot more than delivery prices (approximately $33 per month from the stand compared to $13.50 per one month delivered) or reading it online for free.
