I sincerely wish to thank the couple who made Christmas ’09 special for me.
On Christmas Eve, after just bringing my husband home from the hospital, I went to Sobeys to pick up groceries. While at the cashier lineup I received a call to return home as soon as possible as my husband wasn’t feeling well.
In a panic, I threw my groceries in the car and proceeded to drive away, only to discover my purse wasn’t with me. After looking in carts and in the store to no avail, I had to drive home without it.
Upon arriving home with tears streaming down my face, my husband met me at the door saying a man had called saying he had found my purse.
I called him back and he told me he would wait at Sobeys parking lot until I could drive back to get it. Sure enough, there he was along with his wife, waiting for me. Because they refused to tell me who they were and declined my offer of a reward, I now call them my Christmas angels.
Many thanks to this lovely couple who saved my Christmas — I will never forget you. It’s so good to know there are honest people out there.
