Note to neighbours: you don’t own the street

To all you psychotic homeowners that think you own the street in front of your house: you don’t.

To all you psychotic homeowners that think you own the street in front of your house: you don’t.

I live on a street that is usually considered to be in a ‘nice’ neighbourhood. The issue is that there are some stupid people who seem to think they have priority parking on the streets. FYI, you don’t.

The land you own goes up to the sidewalk, that’s it. Although it may be convenient to get to park in front of your home, it shouldn’t be expected. Living on that street for a year now I can honestly say that I usually have to park quite a ways away from my own place and take the walk gladly.

I don’t flip people off when I see them park in front of my house!

My brother just had his brand new SUV keyed by this said ‘friendly neighbourhood’ neighbour!

People who get that mad at someone who parks in front of their house, especially when they have a garage and the whole space in front of it already, need to be sent to a psych ward for their anger issues. People like this need to chill out!

You don’t own the street! And if you’re stuck walking a bit to get to your house, suck it up, the exercise would do you good.
