Privatization would be good for health care

Make no mistake about it, increased privatization will be the savior of the health-care system.

Re. Michael O’Hanlan’s March 12 letter, headlined Privatizing health will not save money:

Make no mistake about it, increased privatization will be the savior of the health-care system.

The key here is the degree increase in privatization the government will activate or let happen in our daily activities to access health care.

Privatization must get to the bottom of balancing the demand side with the supply side.

In free enterprise, this system is called the rationing of our scarce resources and happens through our money system.

Rationing must happen by means of money or the wait line as in our Canadian health care system. It’s unavoidable, despite the promises of our polititions.

Privatization and free enterprise have the best historical record of working. Just don’t ask your government for their fix.

A market solution for health care would no doubt come through the installation of a user fee.
