Re. Paul Franck’s June 25 letter, headlined Religion has not made us better:

I most assuredly agree! The Old Testament is proof of that. But for the same reason, God, in his mercy, sent His Son Jesus Christ, to atone for our failures and sin.

By His resurrection power, our lives can be changed.
