Remember the Dayliner?

By your picture, I assume you are a young fellow and might not remember this: In the 1960s and 1970s Alberta had a high-speed rail service called the dayliner (although due to its ability to continuously be involved in often-fatal accidents, it earned the nickname “deathliner.”)

Among other routes, it travelled from downtown Edmonton to downtown Calgary. Apparently it was not a feasible method of transportation, or it would still be running.
