I have been a resident of the Red Deer area for approximately 30 years, and in that time have very much enjoyed visiting the museum.
I found it quite impressive and took my children to see it, also various visiting family and friends, and later my grandchildren.
On Monday, Feb. 15, I attended the opening of the newly renovated museum and was thoroughly disappointed!
All the beautiful displays are gone and in their place stand a few chairs placed at intervals near almost empty walls, in almost empty rooms.
I spoke to an employee, who told me that now there is space to display all the exhibits that couldn’t previously be displayed. So, where are they?
I took with me a friend who had never seen the museum before and she told me as we left that she will never go back.
I am of the same opinion.
I certainly will not recommend it to anyone I know and will no longer take visitors there. There is nothing there to see!
