Smug Stelmach falling short

Re. Protesters seize day

Re. Protesters seize day

It seems that Premier Ed Stelmach was quite smug about his 77 per cent approval rating at the recent Tory convention. With the gag orders that have been put into action in our democratic country on health-care workers and the appointed members of the legislature, Mr. Stelmach should have got almost 100 per cent.

The rally that was held in Red Deer during the convention was poorly advertised in our city. However, enough people from out of town attended to make it impressive. Good speeches, good co-operation from the RCMP made it a successful rally. Thank you for all the motorists who honked to show support.
