Thanks for supporting Adopt-A-Family

Despite economic challenges, the true spirit of Christmas is strong and evident in Red Deer and Central Alberta. The Women’s Outreach Adopt-A-Family program relies solely upon the generosity of individuals and businesses in our community.

Despite economic challenges, the true spirit of Christmas is strong and evident in Red Deer and Central Alberta. The Women’s Outreach Adopt-A-Family program relies solely upon the generosity of individuals and businesses in our community.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many sponsors who graciously stepped forward to be a part of this program and ensured its success in 2009.

This year, Adopt-A-Family experienced 30 per cent more families seeking assistance. With the financial assistance from the community, we were able meet this record increase.

The Adopt-A-Family program focuses on single parent families who are struggling to make ends meet and require extra help to provide Christmas for their family.

The staff at Women’s Outreach have worked very hard to ensure that all these families experience Christmas, and I would like to thank each of them for their hard work and commitment.

On behalf of the board of directors, staff and volunteers, we extend appreciation and gratitude to our community for your generosity this past year.

It is because of your support, that Women’s Outreach is successful in providing a continuum of services ranging from basic needs (housing, food, etc.), daycare services, to individual and intensive domestic violence support.

Thank you Central Alberta for providing us with the opportunity to provide a broad focus of services to the communities we serve and for making change possible for so many individuals and families in 2009!
