I write this to show my displeasure of how some Red Deerians display their wonderful Christmas spirit.
I live on a farm just northeast of Red Deer. Today I came home and saw that someone had taken the liberty of stealing a Christmas tree for their family from us. Not a tree from the forest a quarter kilometre away, for that would be too much work. They felt it was their right to stop the car on the road, (30th Avenue), walk in 15 metres and cut the top half off one of our seven-metre shelterbelt spruce trees. I hope as the thief puts up the Christmas tree this year, he/she can proudly tell family and friends where the tree came from!
