There are times in our life when it is difficult to find adequate words. That is my challenge in describing our first annual Juke Box Mania fundraiser, hosted on March 19.
Family Services of Central Alberta is a local charity established 40 years ago to help families living in local communities. Only recently have we had to begin fundraising to meet rising costs and higher demands for services.
Being new to the special event world, we were unsure as to whether a new event would be successful.
Well, we want to thank everyone who helped us host the best party of the year. The night was a success due to the enthusiasm of volunteers, the local businesses and individuals who donated and sponsored the event and to our staff who dedicated themselves to making sure that everyone had a great evening. At a time when many agencies and organizations are having to ask for donations and there are numerous worthy events to support, we are particularly appreciative of all the people who chose to help a charity that supports local children, youth, families and seniors.
Your choice will make a difference in lives of Central Alberta families.
We look forward to everyone joining us at our upcoming 40th anniversary celebration on May 16 and at our next event, the Central Alberta Children’s Festival.
