We are two Grade 10 students from Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School.
Throughout the semester our Social 10 honours class has been studying globalization, and as our final project we have to show to what extent we respond to it as citizens.
The topic we chose to work on is environmental awareness, specifically waste.
After reading an article in the Advocate, headlined Idling gets you nowhere, we couldn’t help but respond.
It is very true that many Canadians are wasting more gas than they really need to. The facts included in the Advocate’s article are very interesting.
We never knew how idling one’s car adds up to so much wasted gas in the end.
We hope that other people who read the Advocate’s article will agree with it and help to take part in cutting back by following the suggested steps, like we are.
