TV station will be missed

As most of us know, CHCA had its last news broadcast on Aug. 28. The staff gave tributes to some of the longtime news anchors, meteorologists and sports anchors from the past.

I remember RDTV when I was young. I loved the logo and I thought that was a perfect name for a Red Deer television station since it RDTV stood for Red Deer television.

I know that some people would remember the Toon Crew.

I was a member and had a Toon Crew card and certificate, and hopefully I still have it.

I liked watching those little Toon Crew break shows they would have in between those awesome cartoons we watched, like the Care Bears, Inspector Gadget, Power Rangers, Darkwing Duck and more.

I also remember those magazines they published. I liked those because they would do tours of different places in Red Deer like Moon Walker Fun Centre, the Centrium, Dairy Queen, Petland and other places.

I remember watching the RDTV News Crew with Dianne Finstad, Graham Burns and Andrew Shultz.

I think we should still have our own station like RDTV or CHCA with our own local news.
