Many of us who love the real Christmas Carols are bitterly disappointed in this year’s non- (almost) Christmas Carol books.
We are a group who entertain at nursing homes, and all through December we sing carols, usually out of your current carol books. Certainly not this year!
I counted seven that relate to the real meaning of Christmas, and two of them (Good King Wenceslas and The Little Drummer Boy) we usually skipped anyway. That leaves five. So we aren’t using the books.
We lucked out and found an unopened pack dated 2004. They are great! I noticed that in 2009 they were almost exactly the same as 2004, except for the page numbers. Why not save time and continue to use that list?
But definitely do not repeat 2009s. Need I say why?
Please do not take Christmas out of Christmas!
