What is accomplished? What are the costs?

As a follow-up you’ll be pointing out that both Liberal and Conservative governments have reneged on responding to male/female pay equity issues in Canada. The costs, after all, would be less than the failing war in Afghanistan.

If you want to continue testing local opinion, you can reprint the column titled: Gun control vital part of strategy to address violence (Edmonton Journal, April 13, 2009).” Here, the president of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police points out that the registry saves lives.

You could add that it would cost less than the war in Afghanistan and would actually accomplish something. Something to think about.
