The 2009 Red Deer Kinsmen Dream Home is “a beautiful home that’s not typical,” says Kinsmen Dream Home chair Craig Kinney.
The $600,000 siding-clad structure at 36 Clearview Dr., near 30th Avenue and 67th Street, is trimmed with stone, shingles and timber, and a completely different floor plan than previous dream homes. It was built by True-Line Contracting Ltd.
The 2,612-square-foot home with double garage, has three bedrooms on the two main levels and two spare rooms in the finished basement.
Among the special features is hardwood flooring, dark wood kitchen cabinets with stone countertops, a built-in flatscreen TV above a brick livingroom fireplace, a basement media room and bar, and stone vanity bathroom counters, and built-in cabinetry in the master bedroom walk-in closet.
There’s a landscaped front yard, a back porch and a built-in barbecue area surrounded by a wind shelter in the backyard.
The house will be open 1 to 5 p.m. on weekends throughout November, then 1-5 p.m. daily until the final draw is done at the home on Dec. 31.
An early-bird draw will also be held on Dec. 3 for a $5,000 vacation to Oahu, Hawaii.
Other prizes include a Honda Insight vehicle, a hot tub, patio heaters, Blue-Ray DVD systems, a massage chair, and gift vouchers.
The goal of the Dream Home Lottery is to raise $300,000 in profits, which the service club intends to distribute among a variety of worthy local charities.
