Acetaminophen tablets for kids recalled

The distributor of a variety of junior and children’s strength acetaminophen tablets is recalling the products after receiving reports about faulty child-resistant packaging, Health Canada said Tuesday.

OTTAWA — The distributor of a variety of junior and children’s strength acetaminophen tablets is recalling the products after receiving reports about faulty child-resistant packaging, Health Canada said Tuesday.

Tanta Pharmaceuticals Inc. said the safety mechanism on some of the caps may not be working properly and the caps may open even in the locked position, presenting a risk to children who are able to open the bottle and ingest the contents.
