The top photo shows the interior of a 16-feet-in-diameter yurt at Tumalo State Park in Oregon. The yurt features electricity, a heater, a skylight and beds to sleep five. Yurts are round structures, usually built on a wooden platform that can be put up in less than a day and yet still provide adequate protection from the elements. It’s becoming easier and easier for yurt fans to become campers in Central Oregon. The lower photo shows the exterior of the yurt, with a picnic table, covered porch and fire ring.
