The Primary Care Network launched its fourth Health Basics Trek on Friday which will see participants sent out on a virtual tour of the island of Jamaica. Over the next three months teams and individuals will record their fitness activities and attempt to log the 900,000 steps needed to walk around the island. The previous trek through the Hawaiian Islands attracted 525 participants logging their steps said health basics coach Jonah Saringo. The goal of the Jamaican Trek is to get over 1,000 people involved and motivated to be walking and being more active says Saringo. For information on how to join in on the trek, log onto the the Health Basics website at www.reddeerpcn.com.
