Agriculture Financial Services Corp. continues to build on its reputation as a good place to work.

The provincial Crown corporation, which is headquartered in Lacombe, has earned recognition in Alberta Venture magazine’s annual Alberta’s Best Workplaces program. It received honourable mentions in the Best Overall Workplace with 101 to 750 Employees and the Best Workplace for Working Parents categories.

Servus Credit Union was named Best Overall Workplace in Alberta among employers with more than 750 staff, with Crescent Point Energy Corp. winner in the 101- to 750-employee category and Arcurve Inc. tops among organizations with fewer than 100 employees. Judges representing Alberta Venture and the Human Resources Institute of Alberta looked at such things as RRSP contributions, maternity leave top-up, profit sharing, flex-time and community involvement programs.

Earlier this month, Agriculture Financial Services Corp. — and Scott Builders of Red Deer — were named to a list of the 100 best workplaces in Canada compiled by the Great Place to Work Institute Canada.
