Construction workers guide a crane-slung counterweight into place atop the tower crane being erected at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre Wednesday.

The new crane will be used for work on the Central Alberta Cancer Centre, a $46-million facility that will offer radiation therapy and be about three times the size of the existing one, with added treatment and examination rooms, outpatient clinics, a medical day unit, radiation therapy and a pharmacy.
