DOSE Coffee Company, which has operated at 4912 Gaetz Ave. and before that at 4924 Ross St. for nearly three years, opened a second location in Breathing Room Yoga Studio & Café on Monday.

Rolland Forsland, who is a partner in DOSE with Alison McCracken and Sydney Schur, said the new premises at 3215 49th Ave. gives the business an expanded presence in the city.

“It’s a nice location,” he said, adding that the site should draw customers from busy 32nd Street, and also from those attending Breathing Room yoga classes.

“There’s already a customer base here, so it’s easy to build on that.”

Forsland said the new DOSE will offer the same beverage and food menu as its predecessor.

“It’s going to be essentially the exact same café.”

DOSE is taking over space that was previously used by a café operated by Breathing Room. It actually conducted a trial run at the site for four days in mid-November.

“We knew we were going to be moving in,” said Forsland. “We were just kind of feeling out what needed to go where and how we needed to operate in this space.”

DOSE’s hours of operation at its new location will be 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Friday.
