A trio of Central Alberta ambassadors are in Germany this week, hoping to attract investment to this region.

Cyril Cooper and Ashley Stewart, who are both with Central Alberta: Access Prosperity, and Rob Saik, CEO of Red Deer’s Agri-Trend Group of Companies, are attending the Agritechnica trade show in Hanover on behalf of Central Alberta: Access Prosperity. They’re representing local manufacturing, agri-processing and transportation businesses, which they hope to connect with international investors.

Agritechnica is the world’s largest exhibition of agricultural machinery and equipment, with more than 2,600 exhibitors.

In addition to networking there, Cooper, Stewart and Saik are participating in meetings organized by Export Development Canada and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

“We’re here to learn about the European market, find synergies that can benefit both economies and make key ag contacts that will compliment Central Alberta ag companies looking to grow,” said Cooper, manager of Central Alberta: Access Prosperity.

Central Alberta: Access Prosperity is an economic development organization focused on promoting economic growth in Central Alberta.
