The Red Deer-based company, which operates as Quinn Pumps, has opened a new store in Ada, Okla., approximately 155 km southeast of Oklahoma City.

A news release issued by Quinn Pumps said there are about 19,000 oil-producing wells around Ada.

Oklahoma State has approximately 85,000 oil-pumping wells, it added, and their reciprocating and rotating sucker rod-driven lift systems can be serviced in Ada.

Founded in 1965, Quinn Pumps is the largest Canadian manufacturer and service provider of reciprocating rod pumps and progressing cavity pumps.

It has 20-plus facilities across Western Canada and more than 24 outlets in New Mexico, Texas, Mississippi, California, Alabama, North Dakota, Montana and Virginia, including manufacturing facilities in Red Deer and Midland, Tex.

Doug Quinn, the company’s president and CEO, said the move into Oklahoma will enable Quinn Pumps to expand its distribution network and gain new market share.

“We are being aggressive in growing our locations, not only to diversify ourselves but to provide all aspects to our customers, whether it’s manufacturing, sales, optimization or service.”
