He’s toured with Beyonce and Jay Z and LMFAO — now KnowleDJ is set to spin some of his own original dance tunes in Red Deer.

The popular Las Vegas-based Canadian DJ will perform his debut single Purple Kisses and other tracks on Saturday at the Lotus nightclub.

KnowleDJ spent the last decade exciting crowds with his remixes and mash-ups of everything from contemporary hits to classics. He’s recently moved on to creating his own music with Purple Kisses (featuring Kendall Lake), as well as the tune PLUR with Grammy Award-winner Fatman Scoop.

It’s been a novel experience for KnowleDJ, who is suddenly working with singers, co-producers, marketers, etc. But he’s getting a kick from hearing his own dance music played in clubs from Vegas to Dubai.

Born Will Ramadan in Toronto, KnowleDJ lived in Vancouver before getting gigs spinning tunes at clubs around Las Vegas.

His crowd-pleasing reputation was built by his hard-working, democratic attitude. As KnowleDJ told one interviewer: “I wanted Purple Kisses to be as popular with my audiences at Chef Francisco’s in Sylvan Lake as the 2,000-capacity club I work at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.”

He’s been touring the country to promote the single since September.

For more information about the Red Deer show, call the Lotus club at 403-346-1101.
