Open Season, the 11th-annual fundraiser for the Harris-Warke Gallery in Red Deer gets underway on Friday.

This year’s benefit offers more fun options, including a three-course dinner, as well as live and silent art auctions.

Dinner will be served from 6 p.m. in the Coconut Room, upstairs at Sunworks on Ross Street. Besides the delicious three-course meal, there will be a cash bar and live music. Proceeds will go towards supporting the non-profit gallery. (Dinner tickets are $40. For more information, call 403-341-3455.)

The board-run Harris-Warke gallery, on the second floor of Sunworks, features donated new works from local artists.

The gallery opens to the general public at 7 p.m. The live auction of artworks starts at 8 p.m. Bidding for the silent auction closes at 8:45 p.m.

The money raised will go towards supporting the local gallery and the artistic work it exhibits throughout the year.
