Juno-nominated singer Royal Wood, whose tunes have been heard on Grey’s Anatomy and other TV shows, will be performing on Tuesday (Sept. 27) at The Hideout, south of Red Deer.
The Toronto-based pop music singer-songwriter and producer has won critical praise for his fluent piano playing, melodic lyrical style and production ability.
Wood is probably best known for the singles and music videos, A Mirror Without, Juliet and I’m So Glad. His music has also been featured on several TV and movie soundtracks, including TMN/Movie Central’s Regenesis, the CBC series This is Wonderland, the CTV movie Playing House, and the film The End of Silence. His A Mirror Without was also featured on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. In 2010 Wood released the Juno-nominated album, The Waiting, for which he was named iTunes Songwriter of the Year.
