Advocate readers submit photos of odd smoke cloud over Red Deer

Advocate readers sent in photos they took on Friday of an unusual cloud formation drifting over the eastern edge of Red Deer. Amir Boroumand, a Rosedale resident, said he spotted the odd formation at 10:30 a.m. drifting from the east towards the north. He thought it could be black smoke, and it took about 10 minutes to dissipate. Another resident in the Deer Park area sent in photos, wondering what it was. Boroumand thought it might be as far up as three km but was not sure.
