A psychological assessment has been ordered for 32-year-old Edson man charged with sexual assault after four children were allegedly inappropriately touched at Red Deer’s Recreation Centre pool.
On June 27, Red Deer City RCMP responded to a 911 call at the pool after the children, who were swimming between 5 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., were allegedly assaulted.
The accused was not known to the children, who ranged in age from seven to 13.
Three of the children were female and one was male.
Jamie Aaron Harasym, who consented to remain in custody for the assessment, is charged with four counts of sexual interference and four counts of sexual assault.
The case was adjourned until Aug. 3 in Red Deer provincial court.
