Blackfalds Days features parade, concerts and more

A parade was held on the morning of Saturday, June 14

This year's edition of Blackfalds Days had plenty of activities to offer for Central Albertans.

The annual multi-day event began on Friday, June 13, with a youth night at the Blackfalds Community Centre and a concert at the Eagles Builders Centre with ABBA and Tragically Hip cover bands.

Saturday, June 14 kicked off with a pancake breakfast at the town's Community Centre, which was followed by a parade. Throughout the day, there was a minor ball tournament, an outdoor market, a barbecue, fireworks and more.

For the second straight night, the Eagles Builders Centre served as the venue for live music. This time, it was country artists Dallas Alexander and Aaron Goodvin hitting the stage.

The bulk of Blackfalds Days was held on the Saturday, but some events spilled into Sunday, June 15, including a community church service, a toonie swim at the Abbey Centre, and the conclusion of the minor ball tournament.
