Margaret Curtis, left, Elexis Ortlieb and her mother Ellen walk through the slick mud at the Westerner horse racing track after watching horses and riders warm up for the 2010 Dressage Festival on Thursday. Unfortunately the horse they came to watch was injured after slipping in the muddy training ring. The festival of dressage continues through the weekend with the Alberta Provincial Dressage Championships and the Western Regional Dressage Championships. Horses and riders from across Western Canada are attending the event, which is open to the public.
