Building permit values have started high in 2025 for Red Deer.
Throughout January 2025, there were 65 issued permits valued at $17 million in the City of Red Deer, compared with 67 permits worth $7 million in January 2024.
Notable building permits include:
— Construction of a 13-unit apartment at 1000-4750 54 Ave., valued at $1.9 million
— Construction of a 13-unit apartment at 4000-4750 54 Ave., valued at $1.9 million
— Construction of an 11-unit apartment with commercial rental unit at 2000-4750 54 Ave., valued at $1.6 million
— Construction of the third phase of Notre Dame Plaza, consisting of a single storey 14,256 square-foot building, additional parking stalls, sidewalk and landscaping, valued at $1.5 million
— Construction of a nine-unit apartment at 5000-4750 54 Ave., valued at $1.3 million
