Police received 683 calls for the week of Dec. 20 to 26, down from 717 calls between Dec. 13 to 19.

RCMP crime statistics show the number calls on drug investigations increased slightly to 15 from 14, but no robberies were reported this week compared to four the previous week.

Reports of suspicious persons, vehicle or activity increased to 23 from 20.

Assault calls increased to 33 from 28 and domestic violence calls dropped to 33 from 35. Reports of mischief rose to 34 from 25.

Break and enters rose to 11 from eight the previous week.

Police received four calls about auto thefts, down from nine.

Calls about theft decreased to 26 from 40.

Police had 158 bylaw calls, up from 139.

There were six fraud calls last week, compared to 15 the previous week.
