The City is notifying drivers of a temporary road closure on 55 Street, between 44 Avenue and 45 Avenue, as crews repair underground utilities.
Starting at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 55 Street will be closed between 44 Avenue and 45 Avenue until approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5.
“Detours will be in place for the duration of the closure, but drivers and pedestrians should expect delays. Those in the area are reminded to obey directional signage and give crews room to complete their work,” the City of Red Deer said in a media release.
“Drivers are reminded to slow down when approaching or driving in construction areas and obey all signs. Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated.”
