The City of Red Deer has announced a pair of road closures that begin on Monday.
A portion of 47 Avenue, between 53 Street and 55 Street, will be closed to northbound traffic as construction crews replace underground infrastructure.
This work is expected to be in place until June 12. Southbound traffic will continue to be permitted throughout construction.
Meanwhile Ross Street, between 42 Avenue and 43 Avenue, will be reduced to two lanes as westbound traffic is re-routed on the eastbound lanes to allow construction crews to access underground infrastructure.
The traffic disruption is expected to last from Monday morning to Wednesday evening.
The city is reminding drivers to slow down when approaching or driving in construction areas and obey all signs.
