A Consort man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his brother.

A Consort man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his brother.

John Wayne Mock, 34, was to appear in court in Red Deer today.

Consort RCMP responded to a 911 hang-up call at a rural residence north of Consort on Wednesday. Upon entering the residence, police found a the body of Timothy James Mock, 33.

A short while later, Mock’s brother John was arrested.

RCMP, with support from major crimes south, Red Deer forensic identification, Red Deer police dog services and neighbouring RCMP detachments assisted with the investigation.
