Volunteer Trish Rasmussen sets out flower arrangements to finish off the 40 tables for the Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter 2010 Destinations Dinner and Auction Thursday. More than 300 people turned out for the 16th annual event which featured live and silent auctions of trips and other items with a travel theme. CAWES major fundraiser brought in $70,000 last year, a number organizers are hoping to better since it’s used to supplement the shelter’s $2.2-million budget.
