There will be a lot of happy swimmers at the Recreation Centre outdoor pool this summer says Recreation Centre coordinator Tammy Greba. Since 2007, the five-metre diving platform has been off limits and last year the three-metre springboard was also closed due to deterioration of the concrete. Chris Adair, of Timcon Construction along with his crew, is working on bringing the diving platform and springboard back into use. The refurbished feature will be ready for the opening of the pool on Saturday May 22, which will be great news for all those who use the pool and enjoy taking the plunge from the heights of the diving tower.
