A Wetaskiwin campsite could be home to the best public restroom in Canada.

Westview RV Park, located just off Highway 13, is among the five finalists in the 2020 Canada’s Best Restroom contest.

Nominees were judged based on cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements.

Part of what helped Westview RV Park make the top five is the epoxy floors, which are textured for fewer slips and all the corners are rounded for ease of cleaning.

Co-owner Carol Crick says these features, in addition to large concrete countertops and tiling, make the RV park restroom stand out.

The five finalists also include Bicycle Thief in Halifax, Hawthorn Dining Room in Calgary, Lena Restaurante in Toronto and Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto.

Votes can be submitted at bestrestroom.com/Canada until Aug. 14.

The contest is sponsored by Cintas Canada, a linen and uniform supply company.
