The Red Deer Downtown Business Association’s new communications and event co-ordinator will also act as the festival director for the 2010 CentreFest.
The association announced their new staff position and the woman filling it, Kelly Richard, on Friday.
Richard joins the association’s two-person office team today.
“We are very happy to have Kelly join our team. She brings valuable skills and knowledge in communication and events,” Laura Turner, executive director, was quoted as saying in the release.
Richard is experienced in event co-ordination, most recently at the Alexander Way Arts Festival, the release continued.
Richard is also an artisan, pottery instructor and community volunteer.
