Dress for Success Central Alberta will launch its event Power Lunch - Celebrating the Power of Women on March 7 to bring the community together to celebrate women.
Presented by Donna Purcell QC Law and in collaboration with the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre, the event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn & Suites Red Deer South.
Dress for Success invites Central Albertans to participate and celebrate International Women’s Day with local organizations that are working together to serve women in the region.
“This event is a platform for all community-minded individuals to gather together as strong advocates for the women in our community. It is a chance to network, learn from a world-class keynote speaker and consider what strategies you can implement that will positively impact women’s advancement throughout the year,” said Erin Forbes, executive director of Dress for Success Central Alberta, in a statement.
Dress for Success Central Alberta said community is a key component to health and identity and by creating a platform to discuss community-centric solutions, it hopes to create meaningful change.
“We want to emphasize that everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend this event. Allies are incredibly important for the social, economic and political advancement of women,” Forbes said.
Keynote speaker Nicole Gibson, founder and CEO of inTruth Technologies, is a globally recognized pioneer in emotional health innovation. Through the use of data and innovative technology, her company is working to reshape how individuals and organizations approach emotional intelligence and well-being.
