A 32-year-old Edson man is charged with sexual assault after four children were allegedly inappropriately touched at Red Deer’s Recreation Centre pool earlier this week.
Red Deer City RCMP responded to a 911 call to the outdoor pool on Monday. It was alleged that four children had been inappropriately touched by an adult male while swimming between 5 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
The male was not known to any of the children, who ranged from seven to 13 years of age. Three of the children were female and one was male.
Police arrested a male without incident.
Jamie Harasym of Edson is charged with four counts of sexual interference and four counts of sexual assault. He is in custody and will appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on Tuesday, July 5.
