Central Alberta Humane Society's fundraising activities for 2025 kick off with its Sweet Bake Sale on March 1, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the shelter, featuring sugary treats from local businesses and home bakers.

The society says with its shelter is at capacity, the need for resources is growing.

As a non-profit organization, the society relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and community partners to provide shelter, medical care, and rehoming services for animals across Central Alberta.

“We are so grateful for the ongoing support from our community,” said Kelly Richard, fund development co-ordinator, in a statement.

“Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us provide a safe and loving environment for animals in need. Whether it’s sponsoring an event, donating a gift card, or contributing services, your generosity makes a significant impact.”
