Festival of Trees planned for November

The festival is at Westerner Park, 4847A 19th St.

Admission is $6 each for adults, $3 for students and seniors, and $2 for children ages four to 11.

Festivities kick off with the Biggest Christmas Tree Festival and Parade at City Hall Park at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 22.

Four new events will be introduced this year — Seniors Appreciation and Cirque du Noel on Nov. 24; Festival Business Lunch with speaker Don Bell, co-founder of WestJet on Nov. 25; and Breakfast with Santa on Nov. 27.

Other events include a preview dinner for sponsors only on Nov. 23; Taste of Red Deer and Festival of Wines on Nov. 25; and ’Tis the Season Fashion Luncheon on Nov. 26.

Mistletoe Magic has already sold out.

Last year, the festival raised $875,000 for cardiopulmonary care.
