The lights of Red Deer’s 18th annual Festival of Trees will twinkle from Nov. 22 to 27.
Money raised by the festival will go towards upgrading equipment and technology for minimally invasive surgery at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre to increase surgery capacity.
The festival is at Westerner Park, 4847A 19th St.
Admission is $6 each for adults, $3 for students and seniors, and $2 for children ages four to 11.
Festivities kick off with the Biggest Christmas Tree Festival and Parade at City Hall Park at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 22.

Four new events will be introduced this year — Seniors Appreciation and Cirque du Noel on Nov. 24; Festival Business Lunch with speaker Don Bell, co-founder of WestJet on Nov. 25; and Breakfast with Santa on Nov. 27.
Other events include a preview dinner for sponsors only on Nov. 23; Taste of Red Deer and Festival of Wines on Nov. 25; and ’Tis the Season Fashion Luncheon on Nov. 26.
Mistletoe Magic has already sold out.
Last year, the festival raised $875,000 for cardiopulmonary care.
